CyberShaman's Vision Statement

A letter from the owner, Raymond D. Mata...

Ka Nu'ukia

CyberShaman's vision is simple: To serve with excellence, serve with Aloha and serve with integrity. Service is truly our first concern and really our greatest skill. Up until now ALL of our business has been word of mouth. Our customers are more productive and profitable than ever. How do we know? We've watched them grow! From a five-person office to a twenty person office. From one location to three locations. From home-office to store-front to web-front and they pay on time and without questions. We simply won't accept payment unless our customers are satisfied. How do we do it? That's a trade secret, but I promise to share if you become a customer :)

Without the customer, there is no business. We don't invent things, we work with inventions old and new to bring the right solution to the task. Our public secret - listen to the customer; really listen. By listening carefully, gathering the right information and understanding the need we can focus the technology on a great solution. Put simply, CyberShaman helps connect your intention with reality.

Our vision is to serve with excellence. Up until now ALL of our business has been word of mouth. In order to serve better we closed our doors for a while and focused on making sure our existing customers were happy with their service. Now it's time to open those doors again and welcome you in - the new customer.

Aloha pumehana

A big ALOHA to you: The ALOHA spirit is alive and well and we take pride in welcoming the spirit into our work. The spirit guides us, feeds us and keeps our families fun and safe. Our business is special because it brings us into your homes and offices. We work with you personally and your part-time best friend - the computer! Yeah right! Well, at least we care about that metal and plastic box that helps you get so much work done. We want you to have a POSITIVE relationship with technology.

A POSITIVE relationship with technology: Technology is in our lives to stay. CyberShaman has often struggled with the role of technology especially out here on the beautiful and magical Big Island of Hawaii. When I first arrived I actually gave up working with computers save for one little customer all the way back in Boston (remote admin). Instead I became a farmer, a teacher, a father and an all around helpful guy. I never stopped serving, just stopped servicing computers. But my skills were too obvious and for many too valuable to give up. It started as a friend with a slow computer. Over time my real skills and expertise caught the trade winds out here and the rest is history. I've worked hard to support my family and my new ohana of friends. In that process I discovered great uses for technology. I discovered a way to have a positive relationship with technology and use it to improve the quality of life. In addition, we have ways to help you use technology in environmentally healthy ways. In so many ways, the small sacrifices we make to create computers we can greatly offset by how we use the computers to be more creative, efficient and productive members of our new global communities.

Being a CyberShaman: means being knowledgeable and intuitive. The CyberShaman brings the power of the mind and of the spirit to his/her work. I believe the world exists in many dimensions. We all have a special story about something magical that has happened to us or that we have done. There is great power in mystery and for me the spirit breathes out of that mystery. Everytime I go to work with just my hands and my mind I'm missing something. It takes me longer to understand, the solutions don't flow in - more expensive for you! Working with the spirit means working together in harmony. Why does the spirit care about a computer? It probably doesn't, but I believe they care about us and how we work together. Spirit wants us to have a positive relationship with our work. For some of us that means doing what we love. And for others it means doing what we have to. In either case it means that computers and related technologies live with us and can help us do what we do best.

Spirit for me is not one religion or another. I truly believe every religion has a place, a power and promise of eternal life and salvation. I believe that what we believe can help us, heal us and empower us to do anything and be anything we want.

As I write this I realize Spirit has been with me all along. I've worked with problems I've never seen before and technological phenomenon too new for the latest magazine. Through all these years answers have come sometimes seemingly out of the blue. I believe spirt has chosen me to work with these technologies to better serve you. It's part of my purpose here on this planet to be of service. Being a CyberShaman means working with more than just the tools in the toolbox - it means working with Aloha and with Spirit and with a whole circle of knowledge and friends to get the job done.

A 'ohe hana nui ke alu 'ia

No task is too great when done together by all. One of my favorite Hawaiian sayings. I learned this saying before becoming a CyberShaman (little story here). For me it means that as a professional, a teacher, a father, a friend and a spirit I recognize the great things we can do when we do them together. For this reason I honor some of the companies I have worked with to bring great solutions and service to my customers and I honor some of my customers who have accepted my service and supported my visions.
