Specialty

CyberShaman has over 15 years experience working with computers. In the beginning this meant building them, repairing them and making them go as fast as possible for games.

Today I have paperless offices, secure networks, work from home solutions, disaster prevention systems, domain migrations and more behind me.

What makes CyberShaman different than other service providers in our area comes chiefly from expertise I have developed in the following areas:

Servers - Primarily Windows and Apple with some exposure to UNIX, Linux, and Novell. My servers have served small and large businesses with messaging platforms (Exchange, Lotus Notes), SQL and Oracle databases, clustering, web services, graphic design and print-shop departments to name a few. My servers have carried connection loads of five to five thousand clients each.

Remote Access - Here is where we take cutting edge remote communications technologies to bring you things like telecommuting, office anywhere, and other remote control solutions. I currently administer two networks located in Boston, MA.

PC and MAC Performance - CyberShaman's First Law is simple - Less is more. This means we keep our computers running optimal by following best-practices, customizing them to a user's needs and disabling or eliminating unneeded services and programs. Keep it simple and keep it clean.

Antivirus - My real experience with antivirus began in a corporate setting when I was asked to develop and manage a project to deploy a digital immune system for an international network running over 100 servers and 10,000 clients. I received formal training and have since built upon those experiences to bring reliable and stable antivirus solutions to individuals and businesses. I have several antivirus systems I currently manage that have each contributed to this day a record of not a single day of down time. Customers whose income comes in by the minute have benefited greatly from this.

Networks - Expertise in the area of networks is truly a challenging task; there are many layers (literally) and components to how networks function. I've worked closely with engineers that design and operate networks connecting thousands of clients, that cross-communicate between domestic and foreign boundaries right down to the little one helping your computer reach this web page. In many ways networks are the foundation of any computer system sharing information. For this reason, your network is my priority and responsibility - they literally support the business flow. There are wireless networks traveling through the air as radio waves, wired networks traveling through wires as electrical pulses and even networks that travel through filaments of glass as pulses of light. CyberShaman has helped many get their networks started, secured, expanded and overall optimized for their purposes. Keeping your network free of unwanted or un-needed activity is a key ingredient in moving information effectively and smoothly. Support the business flow so you can do business.
